Tracy Kiser has found a very special guy with Brent Fineran as her fiance'. And then they found The Lalumondiere as the backdrop for their upcoming wedding on September 3, 2011. We think it's going to be a special occasion for all. Here is their story, in their own words.......
How we got engaged - Tracy
"On August 28th, prior to heading off to the Morganford Stumble for my birthday celebration, Brent took me out to breakfast at a favorite spot of ours, The Hartford Coffee Company. It has special meaning because this is the first place we ever had breakfast together. Because it was such a beautiful day and we had about 45 minutes to kill before the pubcrawl, Brent mentioned that it would be nice to take a walk around the Botanical Gardens. We grabbed breakfast to go and headed across Tower Grove Park. I must admit, this is when I started to feel that Brent had a little more to this agenda, so I precisely kept my mouth shut and just waited for the magical moment. ;) It really was the most gorgeous day ever and we wandered around for a while until Brent saw "the spot," a bridge in the Japanese Garden that zigzagged a few feet out into a pond. We walked out to the edge and that's when he wished me happy birthday and told me how much I meant to him. He got on his knee, and I promptly put my hands to my mouth to stifel the squeals of nervousness, excitement and happiness. He went on, "Will you marry me?" And I accepted with, "Of course I will!" and several big 'ole smooches. The rest of the day was the best celebration of our engagement we could of asked for. We made our way down a 3- mile stretch of St. Louis cheering and sharing the big news with many of our friends as well as fellow happy pub crawlers. I'd love to see what Brent comes up with"
How we met - Brent
"" Tracy and I have been together for over three years now. We became introduced to one another through the MySpace social network, and we formed an immediate connection. I could tell right away she had a great sense of humor, which is very important to me. We cracked a lot of jokes, and I must admit, there were many times she had me laughing out loud in my quiet, empty apartment. We shared stories of our feelings and lives, good and bad. There were many times when I thought about her; I wondered where she was and what she was doing at that very moment. Truth be told, I was a little nervous by the idea of meeting someone I had met through an online social network. I foolishly dismissed this idea as something for nerds and computer geeks. Besides, I already had a crush on this person that I had never even met before. All of these factors seem to delay the inevitable union. As time passed, we eventually decided to meet. I saw sparks. “Relationships are like Rome. Difficult to start out, incredible during the prosperity of the 'Golden Age', and unbearable during the fall. Then, a new kingdom will come along and the whole process will repeat itself until you come across a kingdom like Egypt.. that thrives, and continues to flourish. This kingdom will become your best friend, your soulmate, and your love.” -Helen Adams Keller. Tracy is my Egypt. I believe the true measure of a lover and friend is not how they act during the 'Golden Age', but in the fall; this is when she is at her best. I have never met anyone with her patience, kindness, and understanding. Such unwavering virtues will give way to a kingdom that flourishes-outlasting sadness, disagreements, seasons, and even death. I have faith that Tracy is the one I want to be with for the rest of my life. I no longer use MySpace. I thank "Tom" for creating this social network; he truly changed my life. He gave me my best friend, my soulmate, and my love. I love you Tracy."
