"Until we're both too old to dance"

August 6th, 2011 will be the date for Emma & Owais' wedding and reception at The Lalumondiere.  When you read Emma's words below you will know why we suspect the night might be all about dancing.

"Owais is a sales order specialist for a financial software company and I work as a ballroom dance instructor at a studio in St. Louis. We are both taking classes in pursuit of higher degrees. Owais takes classes in the evening in pursuit of a Master's in Finance and I'm taking classes towards achieving a second Bachelor's and possibly a future Master's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition. My first degree is in communication. We are both pretty busy during the week with work and classes, so on the weekend we love to just hang out together.
We met by chance one night in December at a salsa dance. We actually met on the street before we even got to the dance. My friend Stacey and I were walking across the street and this guy came up and asked us where the salsa dance was being help. Good thing he asked us and went to the dance because he turned out to be my future husband!

At the dance we talked casually and we danced a couple songs together (I had to show him some of the steps). When Stacey and I were leaving he asked for my number and I gave it to him. A few days later he called and we met again at Starbucks one night after I finished teaching. We stayed there talking until they closed then we went to another restaurant and continued talking until they closed as well!
Meeting at the salsa dance was completely by chance but it was the best thing that ever happened to us because we found each other! Owais proposed to me on our year and a half anniversary. We had taken a long weekend trip to Chicago and after driving all the way there and finally settling in the hotel, he just couldn't wait any longer and surprised me that night! It was a fantastic weekend! And now we can continue talking, laughing and loving each other until we're both too old to dance!"  Emma
